I'm a market analyst, author, consultant, and trainer specializing in North American building product distribution. I'm not an economist. I got a job in a lumberyard after I graduated high school and put myself through college building framing packages and driving forklifts. I was an English major so when I got out, I was qualified to work in lumberyards.
I spent 18 years coming up through the ranks in operations, sales, and management, then another nine years as a trainer, training director, and course developer.
