- 29 (94%) said they or someone they know has a food allergy
- The most common allergies were milk (12), shellfish (7), eggs (3), peanuts (2), tree nuts (3), fish (3) and gluten (3)
- 25 (81%) respondents said they do their own grocery shopping with allergies in mind
- 28 (90%) read ingredient labels and 5 (16%) only buy pre-approved foods
- 27 (87%) said they would be interested in a mobile app to check product allergies by scanning barcodes
