Looking back, I'm very fortunate that i grew up in India in the late 70's and 80s with limited technology,. We had no running water and TV until I was 11, once my street did not have electricity for eight months and we adapted with kerosene lamps and firewood. Like a lot of families in India back then we did not have a fridge or a telephone. stereo or a car. ÌýI was 15 when we finally got a telephone. ÌýWe were not poor, just middle class and this was in India’s third largest city. Ìý I joke that if I were an American I'd have to be 120 years old to have had these experiences.Ìý
