Risk management is one of the most widely spread fields within an organization and you need to act on risk issues with all echelons of the organization; from the strategy on the board, the management's policy, and its implementation in the line and on the work floor.
Of course, you need many skills for this, and not all of them are highly developed (as is the case with everyone), but many of those skills turn out to be mainly a matter of awareness (that which you already know and do subconsciously) and many skills have to do with developing an open mind and sensitive mindset. The above context is what fascinated me in my work as a Risk Management Specialist.
