Village Life (1954-1972); Helped Family to make a living out of peasant agriculture; Seconday and High School loved both science and arts subjects. History and Biology were my favourite subjects. Earlier ambition was to study political science or political economy. Ended up studying agricultural science and rural economy (Sokoine University of agriculture in Tanzania) and agricultural economics (Wye College, University of London- Masters and PhD-1986-1989). Have since enjoyed working in human development fields in Africa. Now work as a policy analyst for a Think tank in Tanzania.
