Dr. Heather Chambliss, FACSM is a faculty member in Health Promotion in the department of Health and Sport Sciences at The University of Memphis. Heather has a MA in Counseling from Louisiana Tech University and a PhD in Exercise Science from the University of Georgia. Upon completing her degree, she worked as a post-doctoral fellow, health educator, and research scientist at The Cooper Institute, an internationally recognized preventive medicine organization in Dallas, Texas. Heather is a Fellow of the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) and serves on the Executive Committee for the Exercise Is MedicineTM initiative.
