- The goal of the rebranding project was to separate Advantage Publishing from Home and Business magazine and create a distinct identity for Advantage Publishing.
- Initial sketches focused on incorporating "Advantage Publishing" and "a community publishing company" but the client wanted something more modern and different than the previous logo.
- After going back to the drawing board and experimenting with breaking down letters and different shapes, a final updated logo was created.

The goal for this re-branding project is to separate Advan-
tage publishing from Home and Business magazine. People
should recognize Advantage Publishing as its own separate
entity. The purpose of advantage publishing is to provide
quality publications that relate to the community and busi-
nesses in Gainesville Florida.
A U D I E N C E
All readers of HOME: Living in the Heart of Florida, Busi-
ness in the Heart of Florida & Giving in the Heart of Flori-
da. API reaches people of all demographics and ages varied
upon the magazine and issue. Also people who attend com-
munity events as well as API events.
C U R R E N T S I T U A T I O N
Currently Advantage Publishing is not recognized as an
independent company. It is recognized as Home or Busi-
ness magazine.
T O N E
When I first came to API I immediately thought it was a
very family driven company and I believe thats why readers
love it. API is very community driven and does the most
charity work out of all the other companies. That should
set API apart. I believe API should continue to push these
charity events and stay family and community oriented.

After going digital with the roughs I scheduled a meeting with the clients. I presented my roughs, but it wasn¡¯t what they were invisioning. They
wanted something more modern and different from the previous logo. So it was back to the drawing board! I tried breaking down the letters,
tring different shapes and later came up with the idea below.
