Dwityapoetra Soeyasa Besar holds a Master degree in International Banking from Columbia University, New York City, USA and a Ph.D in banking from Cass Business School, City University of London, UK. He joined Bank Indonesia the Indonesian central bank in 1994, were he worked successively at the Banking Supervision Department, Bank Indonesia Transformation Program and the Financial Stability Bureau in the Banking Research and Regulation Department.
