Raised a homeschooler in Deerfield, WI. Spent youth dancing, in boy scouts, playing sports, reading, drawing, and playing games. Went to a new (at the time) online high school and earned Eagle scout. Long entertained an infatuation with aviation that has since subdued, whether to dormancy or extinction is unknown. Went on a mission trip to Minnesota with the "other" lutheran church in town, competed on an archery team once, backpacked in Glacier natl. park, discovered an appreciation for computers while spending most of high school on a computer.
