I'm happily married to Tanja and have two kids, Mia (born 15 Nov 2004) and Michael (born 15 Feb 2007). I'm a tour operator (family business) and get to travel quite a bit in Southern Africa - which is a real pleasure. I try to stay fit and healthy although I'm presently hopelessly unfit. I enjoy being active and getting outdoors. Combining it with a bit of adrenaline (e.g. mountainbiking on technical mountain trails) is the ultimate. I'm very fortunate that Tanja is addicted to the outdoors. I'm a bit addicted to the internet and spend a lot of time reading news sites (news24.com, nytimes.com, etc.), blogs (as well as posting on my own blog). Recently I've started playing online chess
