Generation Y and Generation X employees were interviewed across three sectors to test the hypothesis that Generation Y employees are more productive during the workday. The literature review found Generation Y to be more computer-oriented while Generation X is more dedicated to their job. The research concluded that both generations have advantages over the other, with Generation Y better at multitasking and Generation X working harder, leading the researchers to reject their original hypothesis.
