About
I was a pioneer in computational biology and the quantitative analysis of receptor dynamics in mammalian cells and published some of the earliest computer models of receptor regulation (1982). I have been a major contributor to the field of receptor research, particularly with regard to the control of receptor distribution within cells. I joined Pacific Northwest National Laboratory in 2000 to build a systems biology program to exploit the laboratorys unique capabilities in cell imaging, computational biology and high-throughput proteomics. My current research interests are focused on understanding mechanisms of cell regulatory networks using both prokaryotic and eukaryotic model systems.
