Gates Chang received his bachelor’s degree in electronics engineering from National Taipei University of Technology (NTUT). Throughout his college career, he was a system administrator in the computer center at NTUT and was later designated by the college president to gather young computer talent and form the Campus Computer Communication Association, of which he was president for 3 years. He then received admission to the Institute of Biomedical Engineering at National Yang-Ming University (NYMU).
