Drug-Induced Gynecomastia - Diagnosis and Treatment
Gynecomastia is the enlargement of the male breast. Drug-induced
gynecomastia is common (1 to 2.5 %), especially with antipsychotics.
Antipsychotics act by blocking the dopamine receptor D2. There are four
major dopaminergic pathways, which are mesolimbic, mesocortical,
nigrostriatal, and tuberoinfundibular.
In this presentation we discussed about the mechanism of its
development, monitoring, and treatment of Gynecomastia.
