Ile is a barangay about four kilometers going north from the town proper of Dimiao. According to the old folks living in the barangay, it got its name from the abundance of eel which is called in Visayan as kasile. A body of freshwater in this place was full of kasile, which is used as viand by the people living in the vicinity. The Kurimo river cross the boundary between Ile and Datag.
