Dr. Essalik earned his B.Sc. in Chemistry from the University of Quebec in Montreal and a Master Science in physical Chemistry/Electrochemistry from the same University. He then earned a Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from Ecole Polytechnique of University of Montreal, Canada's largest Engineering School. His postdoctoral work was at the Royal Military College of Canada, Kingston, Ontario, Canada both in Chemistry and in Chemical Engineering, later becoming a Professional Engineer and Scientist in Electrochemistry, Materials Science and in Engineering Physics.
