The Carnival of Juliaca is a seven-day folk festival held each year from January 20th in honor of Pachamama, making it the longest Carnival festival in Peru. The festival includes the entry of o carnaval坦n, Sunday of carnival, La ch'alla o taripacuy, and the burning of o carnaval坦n effigy. Those unable to attend can watch the Carnival on television.
