Jacob Vanderwal of Kent, Michigan grew up in Grand Rapids and studied at Central Woodlands Elementary School, and Forest Hills Central Middle School. His interest in baseball started while he was in school, and he started playing and taking the sport seriously. His desire is to become a professional baseball player and work his way up to Major Leagues.
