JAI PARASRAM was a member of the team that inaugurated CBC Newsworld in Halifax in 1989 and was lineup editor for the network until 1998 when he left the corporation to work as an independent communications and media consultant. He returned to the CBC in 2003 to help create the Crawl for CBC Newsworld. Jai's career spans more than three decades, mostly in television, during which he has worked as a reporter, editor, producer, news anchor and executive producer. He has won several journalism awards. Jai holds a Master of Journalism degree from Carleton University, Ottawa, Canada.
