After graduating from Medicine (Trinity College, Dublin), I initially embarked upon a career as a Surgeon, obtaining my MSc, MD & MRCSI. Following employment as an SHO, and then Registrar in General Surgery, I switched to a full-time academic career and was appointed Lecturer in Anatomy in RCSI. I am honoured to have received the RCSI President's prize for teaching on two occasions (2011 & 2015), and was nominated by the College for the NAIRTL National Award for Excellence in Teaching in 2012.
