Jason Jong is a grants/arts administrator, cultural connector, and world percussionist, interested in projects which capture the spirit of traditional folk music and cultural wisdom to promote dialogue, peace and healing.
Jason is the artistic director of Hei Gu Chinese Percussion Ensemble, and performs with Vietnamese world music group Breath of Asia, Filipino dance and music company Kulintang Dance Theatre, and Korean dance and percussion ensemble Ongdance Company.
He is a founding member of the pan-Asian collective Asian Crisis, which strives to develop an Asian American aesthetic through the intersecting waves of ancient and contemporary rhythms and sound.
