The last 8 years of my life were spent living in Japan - in the rice fields outside of Tokyo. I made my living running my own internet venture incubator and online marketing company.
My family and I came to Auckland after surviving the Japan earthquake and tsunami of March 11, 2011 and the subsequent meltdowns of the Fukushima nuclear reactors near our home.
I had visited Auckland 2 years ago and had fallen for the place, so NZ was first on my list when we decided to evacuate from Japan.
We are very happy with the decision!
