I have worked with children and adolescent almost since the beginning of my training as a marriage and family therapist. I started out in a youth outpatient program serving a Medicaid population, and after working within the juvenile justice system for a couple of years, took a job with Aspen Achievement Academy. For four years I worked with treatment resistant adolescents in a wilderness therapy setting. My first year doubled as a clinical internship allowing me to complete all the requirements for my PhD, which I received in 2008.
