I have a bachelors and masters in electrical engineering from MIT and a PhD in the same from Columbia University. I was the first doctoral student of Prof Henning Schulzrinne.
I am one of the principle technologists behind something called SIP, which is the foundation of Voice over IP (VoIP). Me and my PhD advisor began work on it in the mid-nineties. VoIP is what companies like Vonage provide.
