I expect times like this, but I never thought they'd be so bad, so long and so frequent.
I grew up on a small farm in Dillman, Indiana out in the middle of nowhere. Our nearest neighbors, the Kilanders, lived a half mile down the road. Mom and Dad were school teachers but we also raised a small herd of cattle along with corn and soybeans. I was given the wonderful duty of dragging my ass out of bed at 5:30am every morning to haul feed and shovel shit This was especially fun during the freezing winters when a large steer would often pin my 13 year old ass against the feeders in its haste to swallow mouthfuls of corn and hay while the rest of my family slept in their warm beds leaving me to
