Qualified as an Occupational Therapist in Malta in 1987 and worked in general medicine, geriatrics and psychiatry. Almost immediately I developed an interest in Prosthetics and Orthotics; for the next 4 years I worked in the Orthotics and Prosthetics Unit of the general hospital in Malta before I came to the UK to obtain a B.Sc(Hons) in Prosthetics and Orthotics, graduating with 1st Class Honours in 1996.
