Born and raised in Hastings/St Leonards England- one of those medium sized towns that comes with its own curse (a la Crowley)- those who come here are doomed to return.
Escaped to Wisconsin 98/99 (very Saved by the Bell!). Went to Lancaster Uni (American Studies), spent a year at Wellesley College- mainly focused on History and Politics- with a bit of women's studies thrown in for good measure (did my dissertation on feminism and pornography... I blame Wellesley).
Graduated and promptly returned to Hastings.
Did a part time MSc at Birkbeck UCL. Worked for the MP for Hastings and Rye for absolutely ages.
