I am a lecturer in computer science at the University of Southampton. My research interests lie in the area of multimedia data mining, analysis and retrieval, with a particular focus on large-scale multimodal approaches. The long-term goal of my research is to innovate techniques that can allow machines to understand the information conveyed by multimedia data and use that information for fulfil the information needs of humans.
