A member of the Florida Bar since 1991, Joe Gufford prepared for his career as a lawyer in college and graduate school. From 1984 through 1988, he attended the University of Florida in Gainesville, where he focused on political science and history. Gufford earned Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Florida and his Juris Doctorate from Stetson University College of Law.
Gufford is a graduate of the US Army Airborne School and was commissioned as second lieutenant. Gufford has handled many military divorces and is familiar with the division of military retirement benefits as well as the Service Members Relief Act.
