3M is the supplier of Fingerprint Livescan scanners for the Hong Kong Police Force. Apart from hardware, 3M is also responsible for building a workflow system - Fingerprint Live Scan System (FPLS), that integrates the scanners with CAPFIS fingerprint identification system and other systems of the Police Force. As one of the software development engineers, I took part in the design, development and implementation of the system. Besides, I liaised with the users to work out both the technical and business requirements of the system.
