Jan-Peter Mund (Prof. Dr. rer. nat) is Professor for GIS and Remote Sensing at the Eberswalde University for Sustainable Development in Germany. Since 2010 he serves also as a senior advisor to the UN-Water Programme at the United Nations University in Bonn. Additionally he is a guest lecturer at TU Munich and for Remote Sensing, GIS and Disaster Management.
He studied Physical Geography, Landscape Ecology and Geo-Informatics at the Universities of Bonn and Mainz, Germany. He holds a Ph.D. in physical geography and a German Diploma on Geography, Geomatics and Landscape Ecology with key competences in Remote Sensing, GIS, tropical soil science.
