Now I’d like you to consider how much planning and coordinating went into that one,
single night. So many people look forward to enjoying their engagements, but ﬁnd
themselves bogged down by the amount of work that goes into putting it together.

That’s where I come in. My name is Julie Carlson, my company is Our Love Story, and I would
like to coordinate your wedding for you.

I have always enjoyed creating beautiful things, and to me, weddings are the most beautiful
of all. Not only are they physically beautiful, but they are also emotionally beautiful. A
wedding means that two people are joining together to celebrate the love each has for the
other, and committing to a lifetime together.

I love to help people, and sometimes as a wedding coordinator, you also become a social
worker. I can be a strong backbone for an apprehensive bride, or the voice of reason for a
panicked mother-in-law to be.

Organized: It’s so important for a coordinator to be organized. I have been organizing
from the time I was a little girl, when I used to arrange all of our VHS tapes in alphabetical
order and store my toys by category.

Communication: Good communication, both written and verbal, is crucial in this ﬁeld. I have
to communicate with many different vendors at the same time, negotiate contracts, and
consistently update the bride and groom with any information they request. If there is a
change of plans, it is my job to make sure everyone has received (and understands!) the new
information or schedule.
