I recently became a stay-at-home mom, with children. There were several factors that went into making the decision to stay home, but the bottom line was that I had a very strong sense of needing to be at home for my kids. The window of opportunity that we have with our kids, to influence and guide them, to laugh with them and listen to them, is really so very short.
Don't get me wrong- I had no regrets about working outside the home for the last few years, either. Life was far more hectic, but we did fine.
