Journalist with 30 years'​ experience of Asia, covering general, political, economic and technology stories. Currently Reuters to be their Asia-Pacific technology correspondent. Based in Asia since 1987, I have been staff reporter and editor for Reuters, the BBC, The Wall Street Journal and the Far Eastern Economic Review. I've lived in four Asian countries and worked in more than 14. Between 2000 and 2008 I wrote a weekly column on technology for the WSJ and (up until its shift in format in 2004) the Review.
