Since the middle of September, I've been volunteering as an assistant teacher four days a week in an English as a Second Language program for refugees -- adults from Iraq via Jordan, from Myanmar and from Somalia via Kenya. I'm working toward certification as an ESL teacher. Fingers crossed -- I may be working on my own with a beginning class in January!
