I’ve been in the advertising world almost my whole life. I started in high school, through art school and beyond. It is fast paced and yes, very Mad Men-esque, except without the cool clothes or smoking indoors. It has evolved to essentially sitting behind a computer most of the day, juggling emails and eating catered lunches because no one has time to go out. This kind of stressful, sedentary life catches up with you and before you know it your energy is gone and the pounds are piling up.
