KEES = CASE. Kees is a common Dutch name. In fact, the name "Yankees" is a durivative of my name. When NY was New Amsterdam in the 1600's, the two major dutch clans were the "Yan" and the "Kees". So the brittish gave the Dutch the name "Yankees".
