I am a Bachelors prepared RN with her Certification in Diabetes Education. I has extensive training in Motivational Interviewing and assists in training medical students in this skill. I have personally lived with Type 1 Diabetes for 44 years and use an insulin pump and continuous glucose monitor to assist in self managing my diabetes. I now work 1:1 with diabetics in 8 of the Outpatient Family Practice Sites providing Diabetes Education, self management goal setting and behavior change counseling.
