Highly motivated enzymologist with expertise in protein engineering and molecular biology of gene regulation. I am broadly interested in how proteins mediate functions and evolution of biological systems and how they can be engineered for the use in biotechnology and biomedicine.
Major research interests: genetic engineering, protein design and synthetic biology; structural basis of protein function; cell signaling and regulation of gene expression; mechanisms and applications of bioluminescence & fluorescent proteins.
