Kristin is from Kansas City, Missouri, and attended University of Missouri, Columbia for her undergraduate and graduate degrees from 1993-1999. In 2000, Kristin moved to Shanghai, China to work in an international school. She was there for 11 years. It was there that she adopted her daughter, Kara, in 2008.
Recently, Kristin and Kara moved to Hanoi, Vietnam in July, 2011. Currently, Kristin is working as the Elementary School Principal at Concordia International School in Hanoi, Vietnam.
