I started my working life trying my hand at being an atomic physicist; fell into the web industry and now run a startup studio with my old school friend Laurence McCahill.
Fundamentally driven by my left brain I love crafting technical solutions to business problems but (influenced by right brain) only if they matter. I was too impatient to enjoy a career as a scientist being put off researching ideas that could take decades to have any impact in the "real world". I therefore needed to find a job doing something that suited my natural talents and produced immediate impact.
Therefore I left academia without a clue of what to do!
