I am not the same person I once was
where I can smile just because,
live life with no fear
walk without a single tear
have fun with no worries
create my own stories
dance the night away
whether today or in May
laugh with others
especially those I called brothers
It was my time
everything was fine
I had it all
not once did I fall
now I sit here

fighting my own fight
