MSC provides one-to-one mentoring relationships between girls in disadvantaged Baltimore neighborhoods and qualified volunteers to make a meaningful difference in a child's life. They also run after school programs in two title one schools to encourage self-esteem and prepare girls for mentors and middle school through activities. MSC has positive results with high retention and graduation rates for girls who complete the program.

One-to-One Mentoring Develop ongoing, intense mentoring relationships between girls residing in economically disadvantaged neighborhoods in Baltimore with highly qualified volunteer mentors.
After School Program Simultaneous after school programs in two title one elementary schools. Introductory year of our program encourages self esteem, development of group dynamic, preparation for match with a mentor, middle school placement guidance. Need
Our Results • 72% retention rate of those who start the program in 6th grade • 80.5% retention rate of those who enter high school in the program • 97% high school graduation of those who complete the program • 93% college entry to date
