His main scientific area of activity is ecological land use and biophysical characterization and evaluation. He works since 1992 in land use plans and environmental impact assessment studies. He published 3 articles in peer-reviewed journals and 23 papers and abstracts in conference proceedings. Since 1995 he participated in 5 research projects.
He is professor in ESA-IPCB since 1996. The main areas of teaching are: ecological land use, environmental impact assessment, GIS applied to environmental planning and biophysical characterization and evaluation.
