I have been married to a beautiful woman and the mother of my son since 1980. We met briefly as high school freshmen and then met again in 1977 while taking a class together at Grand Valley State University. The rest, as they say, is history. I owe her much as she rescued me from a very dark time in my life. I am driven, outspoken, and self-disciplined. I care about kids and their futures while accepting the fact they may not always appreciate that right now. I can live with that. I can also live with the fact that I will likely run with pain for the rest of my life, but running with pain is better than not running at all.
