I graduated from Eden high school in 1988 and went to college at SUNY Canton in the Adirondacks. I received a degree in veterinary technology. While I was at Canton, I joined ROTC at St. Lawrence University and that lead to another career path in the United States Army Reserves. I decided after 9 years of practicing as a licensed veterinary technician that I wanted to become a geologist, working outdoors. While I was working on my masters degree, I became a teachers assistant and truly enjoyed teaching. That lead to my current position, teaching young minds, and hopefully by bringing my worldly experiences to the classroom, I can spark an interest in science.
