Charterama opens office in Hong Kong
Charterama is delighted to announce the launch of Charterama Asia Pacific Limited, Hong
Kong with effect from 1st
April 2014. This is a strategic development in developing
Charteramas reach into the growing Asian market.
The Hong Kong office will be headed by Powan Li, who has previously held senior
underwriting positions both within Skuld and Norwegian Hull Club. The Hong Kong office will
be a local presence continuing to deliver service to the Asian brokers and clients. Supported
by a strong partnership with leading marine insurer RSA, this move will leverage an already
strong Asian presence for both parties.
Lucien Lesuis, co-founder of Charterama commented In our fifth successful year, we are
delighted to be expanding our Asian operations. The appointment of Powan Li is a real coup
for us as we continue to be the logical alternative to P&I Clubs. We are proud to be working
with such an experienced and skilled professional as Powan Li. Lesuis continued, This
