Vogue was originally a publisher of sewing patterns until 1961 when it sold its pattern company to Butterick. Vogue has since expanded globally with editions launched in China in 2005, India in 2007, and Turkey in 2010. It has also sponsored British fashion awards for the last 5 years and won awards for photography and as a magazine in the US. Anna Wintour, the editor-in-chief of Vogue, earns an average annual salary of 贈2,000,000.

October 2007 saw the launch of Vogue India, and Vogue Turkey was launched in March 2010. March 1966; Donyale Luna becomes the first cover model of ethnic origin for Vogue, for an issue entitled Eye on the International Collections. Vogue have sponsored the British fashion award for the last 5 years and won best photography and National Magazine Award at the American Society of Magazine Editors National Magazine Awards.
