I never heard about Cisco Systems until I got a governmental scholarship to study Oracle 8 DBA at the AASTMT in 2001. Microsoft Network Essentials were one of the courses that we had to study to learn about Data networking. Fortunately, the instructor became unavailable before the course starts. The only one who was available to replace him was the AASTMT network administrator, and he was a Cisco certified. Therefore, he taught me CCNA instead of NE. From that moment, I fell in love from the first topic. :)
