For those who are interested in the "what have you been up to" realm, here is the long and short story:
After high school I moved to Miami for a combined BS/MD program at University of Miami (1991-1998). I spent 6 months (Jan-Jun 94) in France on a semester abroad right before medical school. I moved back to Philly to do residency in Internal Medicine at Thomas Jefferson (98-01), then went back to Miami for fellowship in Gastroenterology (01-04). When I completed fellowship, I stayed on faculty at UM, until I was recruited to come to UNC to join the faculty in the GI division and the Center for Esophageal Diseases and Swallowing.
